new jerseyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
This is a counterpart to adult film legend (and apparent poolie) Ron Jeremy's thread on Cinderella teams for next year. Which of the 2012 playoff teams do you see taking a step back next year, relinquishing their place to the Cinderellas?
I see Ottawa giving it a good go, but ultimately missing out on the playoffs. As I posted in Ron's thread, I can see a team-wide "sophomore slump" in year two of the rebuild.
They're talented and have the potential to be a really good team soon, and a missed playoff spot will be a good learning experience for all the young players.
new jerseyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
I say Phoenix.
Florida will be on the outside looking in

Angus is my best friend at dobberhockey..
Ottawa for sure, and New Jersey/Florida potentially.
In the West, Phoenix seems to be the popular pick, and I suspect Minnesota (though they were horrific last year) are going to make people sad with how poorly they do.
The West seems relatively weak this year so lots of teams could struggle and the Canucks should chew up the West once again.
I hate to admit it but , Ottawa , Nash. , Phoinex would be the ones that jump out to me as taking a step backwards next season.
Roto type keeper league.We keep any 6 ;15 teams , 3 div. of 5.We play 3 lines , 3 def. and start 2 goalies.6 BN.Stats are 1pt. for goals and assists , 2pts. for W , tie(O.T. or S.O. loss) 1pt. S.O. 1pt.Weekly line-up from Mon. to Sun. Total pts. per line against other teams lines.

Oh yeah, Montreal will battle Toronto for 15th place in the Eastern Conference.
Member of OCHA
Vancouver. They fall out of President's Trophy contention and are fighting for 8th with most of the west.
St. Louis. With the new coach energy used up and Elliot's ridiculous year gone, they also end up fighting for 8th in the west.

The Wild won't be as good as people expect them to be. I am really surprised I haven't heard Detriot yet, they have been slowly declining for a while and without Lindstrom they could be in really rough shape..
Although I don't really see it happening I will go with a bold prediction here: Philly
Their defense/goaltending wasn't great last year and now doesn't have Carle. Timonen is 37 now as well. Their young forwards will keep them in the mix for a while however; that is a tall task if Byzgolov is as ho-hum as he looked last year.
