    Default [Rumour] Semin to KHL

Very poorly cited "report" that Semin is close to signing with "a" KHL team for the big money he so desperately craves. I don't put any stock into it, but figured I'd post for you folks.

There's nothing new in that article, just a pure speculation piece that, if it comes true, the author can say "See look, I was right!".

Agreed. Would be nice to have his signing over with though.

Agreed. When Doan signs, Semin will follow shortly after.

Surprised he hasn't signed anywhere yet to be honest.. I thought as soon as the Red Wings lost out on Parise, they would have rushed out to get Semin.. I really think Semin could do well playing along side Datsyuk..

If he can play the left side, Semin-Kane-Hossa would probably be the best line in the league.

Haha I agree with you there, but if I am a contender then chances are I am more interested in Doan's intangibles over Semin's offensive and possession abilities. A suitable contract offer to a team of his preference will likely only be presented to him after team's know they aren't to be spending that money on Doan. If Semin wanted to leave, he would have left. He clearly wants to play in the NHL, and he will sign in due time.

Haha, at this point it's mindless speculation so why not dream.

But the question is how [s]he would with Kane and Hossa. Not sure about Hossa, but I'd guess Patty the Party Man would be all over her. :-)
