Default Goalie Value vs Fwd Value (Trade Scene)

I'm sure this topic has been debated to death and the answer will always vary based on league format, but what would be an equal exchange of value between 2 different positions.

    Example in Question,
(see league in sig with Tavares, Benn, etc)

The top team in the league is after Halak.
I would obviously want a solid young keeper forward in return.

Is there a formula one can use to say Halak = X Value and Fwd B = X Value.

Furthermore I'm tempted to just keep Halak because going into the draft with only Pavelec leaves me up shit creek without a hockey stick.

Regardless, if a was trade Halak, what caliber of forward (maybe provide an example) is he worth.

I don't over value any player too much but I do see Halak as a pretty valuable asset. He's a young goalie in a good system who should see more starts and W's than he did last year.

Any thoughts or comments are much appreciated.

Well Skaters = 7 cats, Goalies = 3 cats. Therefore goalie cats make up 30% and skater 70%.

    With 25 players I assume a team typically has 3 goalies and 22 skaters. 3 goalies of 30% = ~10% each. 22 skaters of 70% = ~3% each.

That's the gist of it. However, in reality it's not nearly that simple.

You can use HPG to calculate them, which might help.
