If he didn't do it (and it really seems like he didn't) then it really is a rotten deal that this is even made public.

If he did do what is claimed then I do hope they crush him by locking him up in prison for being a piece of human garbage.

I realize what "Sexual Assault" is, but who knows, maybe it was something as meaningless as a forced kiss.. I guess we will learn more in time.

I guess I should have read the second article before I commented.. I didn't realize she said "rape". That is def serious if true. But funny how nothing was said until he won a cup..

She reported the alleged crime the day it happened, so it's not like she's automatically an opportunist waiting for the right time to strike. She probably wasn't happy with how the police were handling it, and decided some more attention might spur them forth.

Just because she refused to contact the guy who allegedly raped her doesn't mean she's less credible. And the vague assertion of "credibility issues" holds no value. A woman's clothing choices the night of the sexual assault can reduce her "credibility". Her having had an alcoholic beverage can reduce her "credibility". Among other crap.

I'm not entirely sure what happened, so I'm not going to rake Doughty over the coals.
However, I hope for the woman's sake that the police run a proper investigation.
