i guess the thornton signing has really screwed everything up lol. how can any of these guys take an offer over 7 mill if he didnt and possibly iginla signing the same kind of extension. hope this deal brings them back to reality, doubt it tho, im sure that Homer is gonna throw everything he can at 1 of them, praying they land somewhere else, id even be happy if they got nylander instead of paying 8 mill for one of those 3.

I recognize that the amount is not merit-based, but market-based... yet somehow I also think that they could have had him for $9M next season instead of $10.
