    Thanks for checking in!

Right now, I'd lean toward Gerrit Cole. The former UCLA Bruin's fastball sits at 94-98 MPH and occasionally reaches triple-digits. The 21-year-old righthander also has an excellent power slider and a changeup. The combination of his pedigree, stuff and college experience make Cole one of the most big league-ready guys who were taken in the 2011 Draft, as well as a player who has as much upside as anyone.

The vast majority of these prospects have a lot of development yet ahead of them, so it is really hard to project who is going to be capable of what if/when they get to the big leagues. That being said, I like Cole as much as anyone in the draft, and it is no surprise to me that the Pirates selected him first overall.

Cole if you need a pitcher and Rendon if you need a hitter. Cole, Hultzen and Rendon are the most talented players coming out of the draft IMO.

    hultzen.

you can't go wrong w cole.

i think hultzen is closer to making an impact, and i like the environment he'll be starting in, most.

I'm in a position to draft first overall in an draft next season. I will of course do more research closer to the date. However, if I were to select right now, it would be Rendon.

I usually prefer the hitter over the pitcher, but also in this case you reallly have (one of 3-4 pitchers) vs. (the one clear bat)....chance of error?

This scenario makes me lean more toward a stick over an arm (even though my farm team could use an arm more than a stick...

    Rendon for me.
