Default Pickup for last 2 months

    My current roster:

C - Datsyuk, B. Richards, Zubrus, Fisher, Cajanek

LW - Ovechkin, Elias, Ponikarovsky, Roberts, Neil

RW - Guerin, Langenbrunner, Horton, Ouellet, Dvorak, Radulov

D - Gonchar, Rafalski, Redden, Ohlund, Phillips, Zhitnik, Sutton

    G - Kipprusoff, Holmqvist, Fernandez

I\'m thinking that my RW is a weak link, but who would be the best pickup? Bieksa (dropping Sutton) or one of the following RW - Backes, Kozlov, Sillinger, Stafford, Kolnik (drop Dvorak)?

I forgot to mention that it is a league where we can retain up to 6 players for a maximum of 2 more years.

I cannot keep the following players since they are in the last year of their retention period: Kipper,Datsyuk, Rafalski, Redden. I have committed to keep: Elias, Horton, Fernandez and Ovechkin for 2007/2008.

This does not add up to 6 b/c I acquired some of those guys in their last year of retention in the current year. Basically, I have 2 open keeper slots.

So the FA pickup could be retained if there\'s some long term value there.

I would say you\'re RW is the weakest, but eww... those right wings you\'re thinking of picking up are no where near worth it. I would definitely pick up Bieska for Sutton. Bieska\'s their guy out there in Vancouver... He\'s logging close to 30 minutes there most games, and he\'s getting a BUNCH of powerplay time. Also, if you count penalty minutes, he\'ll have 100 before season\'s end.

Yeah Bieska is worth keeping at years end I think. Especially if (like I said) you count penalty minutes. He\'s their guy in vancouver. It\'s his job to lose.

Take Bieksa, he is head-and-shoulders over Stumpel especially in those categories.

Bieksa for Sutton is a given. I would also look at Drew Stafford for Dvorak. He would be more of an insurance policy, but he is on the top 2 lines of the top offensive team in the league. If you are only dressing 1 goalie, you can also looking at trading one of them for RW help, since Fernandez\'s return is imminent.

Default Advice on ALOT of INJURIES?

Team and league is in the signature below:

I haven\'t a clue what I need to do....I have a great looking (INJURED) team, and I\'m slipping down to the bottom, while alot of the teams above me look brutal.

Does anyone have ANY advice? or some idea how I could make a deal to help turn things around???

    Carpenter-SP (DL)
    Youkilis-1B/3B (DL)
    Ludwick-OF (DL)
    Soria-RP (DL)
    F.Francisco-RP (DL)
    J.Reyes-SS (injured)
    J.Cantu-1B/3B (dealing with injury)
    J.Dye-OF (suspended a couple games)

I don\'t like being patient with fantasy sports....Does anyone have any suggestions???

KARMA will be given for best responses!

From the looks of it, you\'re dealing with injuries, but you\'re not really losing any roster spots are you? If that\'s the case, I sit tight for a couple more weeks.

What are your options? Add/ drop? That would be a waste! Those players will come back and you will be stuck with their replacement you picked up. I\'m not sure what you want to hear but I say be patient. The season is still early. Is this a keeper or a 1 year yahoo? There are vultures waiting for you to drop those guys and I can guarantee that if you do drop them, someone else will snatch them up quick. Unless it\'s a long term injury I say, as painful as it can be, keep them.

I don\'t know who\'s available on your waiver wire but if there is anyone available that is better than your IR list then make your move.......... ........... but I doubt it......
