Value of Closers

Out of my 11 pitchers (1 bench), I only have 2 relief pitchers, and they are Motte and Arredondo. Obviously I need someone who\'ll get me saves, but with the amount of pitchers on our roster and 14 teams, there is hardly anything worthwhile in FA. A few average middle relievers/set up men at best.

So, with this in mind, if I were to offer a hitter, what would be an appropriate offer for a decent/upper tier closer?

Util: Uggla, Fielder
BN: F. Lopez (sometimes starter), C. Gomez, Jacobs, Kubel

SP: Carpenter, CM Wang, Buehrle
RP: Motte, Arredondo
P: Baker(DL), Snell, Millwood, E.Jackson, R.Soriano
BN: D. Price

Any thoughts?

Just picked up Rafael Soriano, dropped Escobar. Still need a secure closer though.

Saves come into the league. I never trade hitting for it unless I get a stud back for someone like Lopez, which never happens for obvious reasons. Aardsma already has 2 saves, why not speculate on him?

I found a team that has an abundance of RPs. Any suggested offers? Should I use Lopez? Though his multi position eligibility might be too valuable to give up. Or just offer one of my SP for a solid closer? With Arredondo and Soriano, I could get a few saves periodically so might only need 1 closer.

Buy low on Hoffman, he\'s on the DL but should be back soon. Try offering Snell or Millwood if he wants SP or Gomez if he needs speed.

The only glaring weakness he has in his lineup right now are SP, 1B, and OF

If you feel the need to get a closer, you could try offering Wang or Snell in a deal. I particulary wouldn\'t do it, but it\'s your call!
