Kinsler is great but you have to go with a 23rd round Chris Davis
In our league we keep 6 in the round they were drafted in. Would you trade a 9th rd Kinsler for a 23rd rd Davis
Thanks

agreed with broadway - but with the following in mind:
- Kinsler is a S.T.U.D. 2nd basemen*
*denotes: when healthy.
He was putting up numbers (arguably) better than everyone\'s favorite 2ndbase darling of last season was putting up (pedroia) until... (wait for it) - he got injured.
Kinsler is nasty, kinsler is a beast - playing in a fantasy/offense friendly park, with an absolutely positively monster of a lineup for our purposes. Just need to make sure he\'s healthy. Getting the hint(s) regarding his health?
Davis, while young and UNproven as of yet - yes, i know his numbers are impressive, but let\'s see what he does in a full season, let\'s see if any sophmore slumps show up, let\'s see if he hits any proverbial walls first - i personally hope not... and with that being said - you have an absolutel fantasy beast in Davis potentially that\'ll make you thank the same place Josh Hamilton points up to after he crosses home plate (especially with Kinslers first DL stint) and even more so with the 23rd round that you got him at.
Hope it helps.
Yeah, \"unfortunately\" you got to go with Davis.
We get one of these - Don't waste it.
I was walking into the post thinking Kinsler, Kinsler, Kinsler... wait... no.... Kinsler.
Reading the above posts. I think they have a great point. IF you were guaranteed a healthy season... a 9th round Kinsler is underpaying HUGE! - Even if he\'s not healthy, he\'s underpaying at 9th round. Davis is a bit of a project, but if Kinsler lands himself on the DL your like .... ouch.. but if you own Davis instead your like..... wheeeee!..... much tougher decision than I initially thought. I think I\'m converted....
another question and i figured i would keep it in my thread
here are my keepers with rd attached
2 - Grady Sizemore
7 - Prince Fielder
9 - Ian Kinsler
12 - Matt Kemp
22 - BJ Upton
23 - Jason Bay
Would a 16th rd Russell Martin be better than any of those options??
Thanks for all your help

Who could be available in the 2nd rd instead of Sizemore? My first instinct is to definetly keep Sizemore but it does not hurt to ask.
As far as the other players, Kemp is the only one that i would consider not protecting since you are stacked in the OF (Upton and Bay in those rounds are a steal)
Have to keep Fielder and Kinsler, also.
An unproven Chris Davis for a full year, or a fantasy stud 2B in the 9th round. I think you have your answer
