    Wow, what a great game and great series!

    I Thoght Giroux's opening shift was epic and set the tone for the day, ...right up there with Richard's monster shift vs. the Habs a few years back imho.

    I knew there would be a VERY good team going home too early after this series, and I'm glad it wasn't the Flyers, but to be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing these two teams playing each other in the next round too!

    The intensity of this series is going to be hard to top, ...I'm almost sorry it's over. (...well,almost! )

    I couldn't help but wonder if timonen was playing injured given the low amount of icetime he saw today, and a buddy of mine had an interesting thought about the possibility Crosby beng injured in the collision with Malkin last game.

    Also did anyone else catch Malkin chewing out Neal on th bench?

    I have no problem with Bylsma's comment either, personally (although I did find it funny).

    I just find it amusing that the Pens fans in this thread have been giving the Flyer fans shit about "staying classy" when the head coach of their own team is making comments like this... that's all

    I dont recall it being said in this thread yet but...... Laviolette did a masterful job during this series. As the general, directing the troops, he kept us on track. The time out wizard changed the tide more than once and he put faith in the players at the right times. Great job.

    What I find funny is that the media is focussed on Fleury's .834 GAA while they never mention Bryz's .871! Yeah it's all Fleury's fault...

    This should have been a 2nd round series. Two great teams going at it in the 1st round because the NHL prefers to have Florida move on instead of Crosby AND Giroux... it's better for television viewing don't'cha know?
