I find it a bit silly when people put such stock into scouts being at games. There's normally at least a dozen various scouts at every game year-round. Obviously there is a bit more focus on specific players at this time of year but people should realize that this is a very regular occurrence.

Yeah I don't get it either. That's their job. I saw Greg Whyshynski try to match each scout's team to a specific player or players in the game (why?) Or, you know, they could just be scouting in general like they always do...

If the actual GM's were in attendance, hell make a story. If Dean Lombardi has been spotted in a Columbus press box, twitter would have the right to go crazy. But in the mean time, realize this is nothing to talk about.

We do realize scouts in fact scout hockey games. But to have people tweeting that five, six or seven representatives are watching a game.....no that is not a regular occurence. I know that because then we would probably have people tweeting that every single game and by my accounts Ive only heard something like this said twice this entire season.

And considering Rick Nash has been arguably the hottest topic in the media and on these boards this past week, I don't think people talking about it is silly at all. It tells us team A-B-C etc etc are interested in him or someone in that game.

Just suffering from Ilya Kovalchuk syndrome. Sign for a big contract and have a terrible first year with the new team. Hopefully he'll have a great sophomore year just like Kovy.
