Is that how one should spell Nabokov today?
Looking for wins, gaa @2.00 or less and SV% [email protected] - really can't see the Flyers letting him away with that - what say you?
Philly hasn't looked very consistent of late, so it's certainly possible that Nabby could net you those numbers, but I would probably bench him. I feel like the Flyers aren't far from stringing a good run together. I think the Isles could win (although if I were to put money on the game I'd put it on Philly), but those are lofty numbers you're hoping for, and I wouldn't bet on Nabokov reaching them.

I'd be tempted. Nabokov's last start against Philly saw him stop 40/41 for the W. The Islanders are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games and Philly has been less than stellar lately.
The safer route would obviously be to bench him though as the Islanders are clearly locks for a good game. They're usually pretty hit/miss. But if I remember correctly this is your league where you'll be hard-pressed to maximize your goalie starts and with Montoya back Nabokov's starts may be fewer and further between than we originally estimated.
Another thing to consider is the Isles will be without Hamonic who is arguably their best defender...
A lot of points to consider. I'd probably bench him so you should play him lol.

I don't know man, given the steep criteria you outlined (W, <2.00, .920+), I'm not sure I'd be confident starting anyone against anybody haha.
Nabby's been on fire: in his last 6 he's actually met your criteria 5/6 times which is pretty mind blowing, and that includes a win over PHI where he stopped 40/41. Philly hasn't been stellar lately anyway. Can't promise he'll meet all 3 of your criteria, but I'd be confident he plays a good solid game.
For me personally, hot streaks always take precedence over match-ups, so I'd ride him.
Hmmmm, well on Bondon's point about getting in goalie games, I am the only guy in the league on pace to get in all 164 (just) and sitting on Thomas, Ward, Nabbie, Elliott and Conklin, so I can afford to bench him in that regard, but a solid game even without the win would be just fine to tuck in, pretty tight on GAA and SV% and the numbers above would at least hold me in place.
Sounds to me like I am getting enough encouragement here to run with him, so what the heck. A bad game isn't the end of the world and a good game can create some breathing space, so in he goes.

Don't discount Nabby!
In 11 career starts against the Flyers, Nabokov has a 7-1-2 record with a 2.45 GAA, .908 SV% and one shutout.
Bryz: In three career starts against the Islanders, Bryzgalov has a 0-1-0 record with a 5.52 GAA and .825 SV%.
