Conklin worth a pickup?
So Howard is out for 2 weeks and I could use a bump in net as Price and Crawford have been brutal. I thought hey Detroit goalies are always good but then I saw Conklin's numbers and he has been brutal this year. Is Conklin gonna get the short term starts and is worth a pickup?

If you're in need of a short-term boost then yeah I think Conklin is a fine pickup. You have to keep in mind that his stats are crapped out a bit because of that ugly show against the Habs. When you don't start very often, every outing has a huge effect on your stats.
Anyways he has an opportunity here to get a string of starts in which is what Justin preaches for success.

I skipped the pick on Conks and grabbed Macdonald. Last year Conklin couldn't hold down the fort in Howard's absence and the starts all went to Macdonald. It's a gamble either way, however there is less risk involved to pick up Conks if he is available.

Good call Smokie. I used up all my moves already this week so I can't pickup anyone until tomorrow afternoon. After tonights game it looks like MacDonald will get the next start so I'll be looking to add him tomorrow.

Who backed up in Detroit last year then? I remember Howard being out for a while with injury and they called up MacD who ran away with the job over the back up. Macdonald has the skillset to do the same this year. Conklin is inconsistent and has been all year. I bet Macdonald gets the next start on Monday.

I guy in my league grabbed MacD and i grabbed Conklin. We'll see how it shakes down. It's wide open as to who takes the backup role. Maybe MacD is about to turn the corner. Conklin is feast or famine. I'm betting both play decent and split starts.
