Hey Key,
Always love reading about the Panthers in here (Did I just say that?). Anyway, are there still rumors of the team possibly trading Clemmenson and bringing up Markstrom?

The Panthers have signed 3 time Stanley Cup Winner John Madden to help overcome the injury problem.
Nice vet presence added, i like it. Won´t hold any fantasy value in 99,9% of the leagues.

The Panthers have signed Mike Weaver to a 2 year contract extension.
On top of that Stephen Weiss should be back tonight .

The game can be summarize pretty fast. Scott Clemmenson sucks!
Sorry to be that bold but the game was just fine besides the easy goalie mistakes.
Erik Gudbranson is on the upswing and the Panthers needs more warm bodies back.

So how badly does Theodore seem to be hurt? I'm curious if I should pick up Markstrom now?

From the sites i read it seems that he will be out at least a few games but that doesn´t necessarily mean Markstrom sees a lot of time. I really hope he does but i wouldn´t bet on it.
Panthers closed out the year with a solid night vs. the Habs.
Michael Repik should work hard on watching videos on Offside and how to avoid it tonight.
Kris Versteeg is simply the hardest working guy out there.
Flash with two goals and WEiss ties Jokinen franchise record on assits.
Both Santorelli and Matthias had solid nights as well.

Panthers have lost in OT to the team of the month so far.
Marcel Goc and Samuelsson returned to the ice for the kittens and made themselves notacable.
Marcel Goc was immidiantly the best player on the ice.
Mike Santorelli also had a good game as well as Clemmenson.
Panthers seem to get back on track.

Sorry my time has run low latley.
Panthers lost again on a back to back. Not much sucess on those this season,.
Markstrom only let in goals but 2 empty netters hit as well.
Nothing good to be noticed from this game. The first line needs to get it going again...

Markstrom seeks 2nd opinion on knee.

I miss PPG Flash. Please come back.

Farm: Soderstrom, York, Woo, Tracey, Dorofeyev
Like stated several times before, he is the weak link and the least consistent out of our Top three, but the most flashy ( no pun intendted. He is no PGG player and won´t be. Calculate with 60-65 and you should be fine.
Panthers had a big win last night, Clemmer played out of his mind.
The goal for the Nucks came of a rookie mistake of Gudbranson, who has really played well during the rought stretch. Those mistakes happen here and here Guds is the type to learn from it.
Big up to Kopecky and Goc who have played great on both ends of the court.
Overall it was awesome effort.

Pretty tough to write about the Panthers right now another night another loss. There needs to be some changes soon we need new blood.
Michael Repik was decent the rest was so so . Flash is playing like crap out there at the moment.
On a side note Angelo Esposito was shipped to Dallas for Ondrej Roman. Roman as far as i know is decent and should help San Antonio.
Meh...

I posted this in the Oilers thread and thought I would post it here as well so you'll realize I actually do give props to the Panthers instead of just hate on them
I'm starting to be jealous of the Florida Panthers - they were expected to be bottom dwellers again and a lottery team at that. But they brought in new management, new coaching, and made several veteran signings (not saying they were all good by any means) despite their wealth of talented young guys.
What's the result? A team that has been competitive throughout the year and due to recent struggles it's looking like they may come up shy on their playoff bid. However, they're building a winning environment while maintaining arguably the best prospect pool in the league. Furthermore, they suffered through a boat load of injuries and made moves to compensate for that such as bringing in John Madden.
On the other hand, the Oilers are fostering a culture of losing which is going to be detrimental to some of the young guys in my opinion. At the same time our team is decimated by injuries and 25% of the players on it do not belong in the NHL. So what does Tambellini do? Nothing - no trades, no signings, nothing - he seems content with another lottery pick and so do a lot of fans for that matter. It's brutal.
