Luongo/Getzlaf for Parise/Zetterberg/Fleury

Guys,

No PIMS, 1 point G, 1 P Assist, +/-, powerplay points.

I was thinking of offering Parise/Zetterberg/Fleury for Getzlaf/Luongo and asking for a 3rd round from him for a 5th round.

Originally I was gonna offer Luongo/Getzlaf for Zetter/Parise straight up or even Zetter for Luongo straight up, but he would need a goalie and I would pick up whoever off the waiver in the off-season.


Any thoughts? Possible? Good? I don\'t have a legitimate number 1 goalie, and Zetter is a small injury risk. Plus I like Getzlaf over Parise slightly.

I think this is a great deal, and very doable, the upgrade in picks isn\'t a bad idea either... if you look at Dobber\'s fantasy value #\'s:

Luongo 154.6
Getzlaf 127.8
= 282.4

for

Fleury 100.1
Zetts 150.2
Parise 98.3
= 348.6

You get the best player in the deal in Luongo, but you\'re giving up an elite player in Zetterberg in return, as well as Parise, who\'ll lead the Devils in scoring as long as he\'s there. Also Fleury, once he gets some consistency, will be piling up wins for years to come.

Great deal, hopefully you can get the upgrade in picks as well

i like getzlaf over parise by more than a slight margin personally, and i think this would be a good trade for you

funny enough, i made a trade for getzlaf and luongo earlier this year, and have been very satisfied with it

i gave up jagr, jokinen, gonchar, roy, and gerber... but considering we can only keep 4 players in my league, i was very satisfied to be getting back the top two players in trade

I like the deal aswell but I don\'t think you should include the draft picks. I personally think it would be pushing it.

The upgrade to Luongo is enough to offset the loss in offensive points.

I would ask for the picks and tell the other GM what you are giving up. Tell him you are giving up two guys who are leading their respective teams in points now and for years to come and a goalie who will potentially be getting atleast 40 wins per year for a very long time.

You have to build up what you are trading, make the other GM realize what he is getting. Throw in there that Vancouver is not a very good team and you see them getting worse..

I am going to start with picks based on what Zorro said, and work down from there. I am giving him 3 keepers (I didn\'t intend to keep Fleury) so maybe that\'ll help.

It\'s definately a good idea. Selling your players should be fairly easy. That\'s always my favourite part of the trading game, making the other GM see it my way haha. I\'ve been told I\'m a very good salesperson when it comes to trading haha. You can dig out a positive statistic on just about anyone in the league

I\'d much rather have Getzlaf and Luongo than Parise, Zet, and Fleury. snag them if you can. my only concern is I\'m not sure if you can convince the other guy to make the deal. your offer is in the right vacinity though, which makes me think its possible. good luck.
