Only reason Koivu/Selanne are off limits is because of their NTC
Right to it tonight...
Studs
3) Sisterly Love - The Sedin Sisters channelled their magic tonight. Daniel had a goal (the game winner) and an assist while Henrik had 2 assists.
2) Stellar Tending - Thomas allowed a single goal and posted a .968 SV% and Niemi followed suit with a .963 SV% and a single goal. Meanwhile, Luongo actually clinched a shutout for once.
1) Lars and the Real Skills - Lars Eller just exploded tonight. Straight up. Thank god I started him. He notched a hattrick which he capped off with a beauty of a penalty shot. He finished the night with 4 goals, 1 assist, a +4 rating, 5 shots on goal, a hit, and 7 face-off wins. WOW.
HM: Boston - These guys just keep rolling. Thomas was lights out as usual, Bergeron had 2 points and a +2 rating, as did Seidenberg and Lucic (though only +1 for the latter).
HM: Erik Cole - Posted two points tonight and led the team in TOI with north of 27 minutes. Think he's worked his way into Cunneyworth's good books or what?
Duds
3) Subbaverage - Intentionally spelt wrong, just for the record! Subban, your team scored 7 goals tonight! Where were you? Not on the score sheet, that much is for sure.
2) Not so Stellar Tending - Pavelec and Brodeur got lit up tonight. The former let 6 on 24 shots before he was pulled (a SV% of .750 and a god awful GAA) while the latter let in 6 on 27 shots for a SV% of .778.
1) Ugly Swedish Pairing - Tallinder and Larsson, the Swedish d-pairing for the Devils tonight, finished with an absolutely miserable combined -8 rating. If that doesn't kill your +/- for the week, not much will.
HM: Seniors are off Limits! - Apparently GM Murray of the Ducks has stated that every player on the team other than Koivu and Selanne are available. Are they starting an Seniors Olympic Team or what?
