Chris Stewart
if not him P.A. Parenteau
Very simple: Considering my categories, who makes the best pickup?
Craig Smith
P.A. Parenteau
Martin Erat
Tim Connolly
Chris Stewart
I know who i'm leaning towards. I just wanna see if there is a consensus. Thanks!
Chris Stewart
if not him P.A. Parenteau
Stewart or Parenteau
I would go with Erat.

Notes: This behavior is almost always found in people with very low I.Q's, whom have a very low sense of self worth. Impotence is also commonly linked to Grammar Nazi's.

This is interesting. The main choices seem to be favoring potential (Erat, Stewart) or take the guy with the most points (Parenteau). Nobody believes in Craig Smith? He does have 11 PPP's and has been consistent from month-to-month so far this season. I can probably make a case to pick up anybody mentioned here, so that's why the diversity of answers doesn't really surprise me.
Anybody else wanna chime in with an opinion?
The thing that kind of confuses me about Craig Smith is a whackload of his points are secondary assists. You could take that two ways:
1) He's getting lucky (negative)
2) He's touching the puck a lot (positive)
Erat seems to be the more consistent point scorer which is probably what you want with your league settings. If this were a league with more categories i'd probably lean more towards Stewart, but I dunno with these types of settings I'd rather lean towards the steady 50-60 pointers in Erat and Parenteau.
Goalies: If I'm pickin em you best be sittin em!
I like Erat the most (as you stated, it's his consistency), but I am torn because I think Smith's dual eligibility and steady production so far are quite impressive. Also, Erat gets hurt ALOT. I wanna have a guy who sticks around more than a month.
I strictly think Parenteau is a product of his linemates and cannot keep this up.
Erat and Connolly would be x'd off of my list b/c they get hurt too much. PA isn't bad, but he's a 2ndry scorer. That would leave Stewart and Smith. If you had PIM as a cat, i would take Stewart. My selection would finally widdle down to Craig Smith. He's young and is already a key contributor, which are the type of players i prefer.

I'm going to have to go with Stewart. He is on a line with David Perron(PPG pace) and Patrik Berglund. Stewart will score more in the second half of the season.

than Connolly, if you can handle how often he gets hurt.
