    Default Time to drop Pronger?

Team & league details in sig.

My defense has been decimated by injuries. Enstrom is coming back soon and Letang is too valuable to drop by I'm on the fence about Pronger. The top 8 teams in the league make the playoffs and right now I'm in 2nd so I'm leaning towards suffering now and hoping he comes back before I really need him. Thoughts?

I'm holding on to him. When he plays he's usally a very good fantasy performer so he's definitely worth the wait. However I'm a little worried about this head issue he's having and hope it's not too serious that he's out for a few months.

I'm taking the gamble that he will be back and will put up the points as usual when he returns.

Hard to say. But given your 80% chance of making the playoffs, and the fact that you're in 2nd, you can hang on to him for now.
Once you drop to 5th (if you do at all) then re-consider.

For what it's worth, in a 10 team keep 8, you've got some tough decisions to make. Great team.

I would hang on to him considering you do have breathing room in the standings. However it would be nice to know what kind of replacements you have on waivers to make a more accurate decision. Perhaps there is a Voynov available who could be an interesting option. Some guys who have been on the shelf and are/should be back soon who could be decent are Tyler Myers and (gulp) Erik Johnson.

Might have to drop him now...didnt study your keeper configuration but this definitely doesnt look good for him.

Well you are never keeping Pronger anyway, especially with the news of his loss for the season, so I don't see the point in keeping him. I would make a small wager that this could be the end of the line for him.

Update - my gamble has failed miserably.

I agree with Shoeless 100% here. I'd probably make a big wager though. I can't see why Pronger would come back at this point if he's putting the rest of his life at risk. He's a had a really good career, and I'd think he'll consider that he can have a really good rest of his life.
F: P. Kane, Oshie, N. Foligno, Thorton, Coyle, Marleau, Pavelski, Dubinsky
    Steen
    D: seabrooke, Subban,wizniewski,garrison, Carle
    G: Niemi, Fleury,

    G/A-1 pt PIM- .25pts
    Win-2pts Shutouts- 5pts(2+3)
    Keep 10. Top 13 count (4 d, 1 g, 6 Frwd and next highest-any position)
