Avery suspension???

Avery could be suspended for a game or two after throwing water bottles into the stands from the penalty box on Sunday versus the bruins. The league will review the issue on Tuesday. Just a heads up to all that have Avery in their leagues. especially with it being playoff time and all points mattering.

The League is stupid if they suspend him after he has already played a game after the incident.

Well, I\'m of the belief, for competitive balance reasons, that a player should be suspended for the next possible game after a suspendable incident.

I hate how in MLB a player can appeal and may not be suspended for weeks.

The story I read is that he almost hit 3 kids, then talked to two of the kids and their father and gave them a stick as a peace offering. Didn\'t see any of it, it\'s just what I read.

Either way, I\'m sure a fine is coming his way. With Avery being a known hothead, I wouldn\'t be entirely surprised to see a brief suspension, although you\'d like to see the NHL act upon things a little quicker than the current glacial pace.

How bad could a water bottle being flipped over glass hurt? No suspension needed IMO. But at least he\'s a kid. Anybody see that time that wuss(a full grown man)damn near cried when Kevin Garnett flipped a basketball in his direction at 2 miles an hour, hit him in the nose, and he was carried off on a stretcher like a punk? didn\'t see the bottle hit the kid but he was throwing the bottle pretty hard as he was pissed. Not quite Andre Roy pissed as he has been asked to stay away from the team for a week.

Yeah, I saw that about Roy. Sounds like he might have had a wire or two shook loose in his head to go off like that. He might find himself on the outside looking in.

I\'d say no suspension, but up to the league I guess.
