    Default Nikitin, Russell, or Spurgeon

Quite tight right now for cap space in the Dynasty league in sig.

Read some current threads on Nikitin and Spurgeon, so I'm now wondering which to go with.
I'm looking for the best going forward this year as I may not keep then next year depending on how well they play.

D count pts and overall positive plus/minus.

Nikitin putting up solid mins in CBJ and still seems to put up the odd pts and plus/minus.
Russel seems to be playing solid with Hitchcock in the new D system there.
Spurgeon helping out the best he can with Zidlicky out, but hasn't seem to have taken the reigns yet.

Who would you take for the rest of this year?

    Thank you

    It's "Russell" with two r's.

I would go with Spurgeon if you only need him for this season.

    Thanx Dean.
    Yes Russell with two l's.

I'm mainly picking up an extra D due to the current injuries I have and to make up the games I've lost. Unknown timetable on Letang as well.

Did you know Spurgeon was property of the Islanders and they just let him go for nothing? Another one of the stupid mistakes the Islanders made, good young offensive dman makes it with a darkhorse team like Minnesota. I would go with Spurgeon, but I like the situations Russell and Nikitin are in as well.

Watched alot of games for all these teams, I like Spurgeon the most, at least while Zidlicky is gone, and he has no definite return.

Not sure what your actual options are here but a few alternatives come to mind:

Elliott: He may force you to move him off the Bench
Voynov: If he sticks with the big club he's relevant
    Orlov: Ditto, if he sticks...
Russell: A nice depth option but behind Shats and Pieteragelo, the honeymoon, such as it is, may be over soon
Spurgeon: Nice surprise but you nailed it, when Zid returns the opportunities takes a big hit
Nitkin: This is another surprise. Its CBJ. Don't go there. This will also end.

    Safe moves: Russell then Spurgeon
If these are options for you, the long bombs are: Elliott (you got him), Voynov or Orlov
    Not: Nitkin

Spurgeon was getting top PP over Zidlicky BEFORE he got hit so I don't see Zidlicky as much of a threat.

By the process of elimination Spurgeon is your guy.
