Wonder who takes his minutes?
Saw this on Rotoworld:
And on Rotowire:The Carolina Hurricanes forward twisted his leg during a collision with Ryan Shannon and did not return against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
No word yet on how serious the injury is, although Chip Alexander wrote that it "did not look good." Jussi Jokinen has been a strong contributor so far, with 9 points including Tuesday night's assist. Stick with Rotoworld for updates.
Anyone see what happened and can elaborate on "did not look good"?Jokinen was forced to leave Tuesday's game with an ankle injury, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
Recommendation: Jokinen had been a key cog for the Hurricanes, notching eight points (three goals, five assists) in his first 11 games. Any long-term injury to the center would be awful for Carolina.

On Carolina HF Boards they are speculating it is a high ankle sprain.
I did see this tweet from the Carolina beat reporter with a quote from Maurice
Maurice: Jokinen day-to-day, "not catastrophic"
http://twitter.com/#!/LukeDeCock
Thanks Leetch. Yeah I just saw this latest update from Rotoworld:
Paul Maurice said that the Carolina Hurricanes' forward was "upright" after the game and that he's day-to-day.
Maurice said that Jussi Jokinen's injury is "nothing catastrophic," which is certainly a relief for fantasy owners getting a nice amount of production from the Finnish forward. The team's next game is against the Washington Capitals on Friday, so we'll have to wait and see if he can play.

Hope he's okay. I need him to pick up Staal's slack...

Rutherford just tweeted he'll be out 3-4 weeks.
Follow me for some fantasy hockey, Jays tweets @thelandshock
So who's the better pick up in his absence: Sutter or Ruutu? I'm leaning towards Ruutu since he was on the line to begin with. Thoughts?

Wow, I kept Lupul over Jussi in a close keeper decision, this 24 hours makes it seem like I did the right thing.
Hope he hurries back though, my goalie needs him.
This sucks, but I can't complain. He's the 1st significant injury I have this season.

Now it's not looking as bad. Per rotoworld:
Carolina received some good news on Jussi Jokinen's leg injury Thursday that may have return sooner than expected.
It was originally feared that he would miss at least three to four weeks, but two MRI exams Wednesday night revealed he was not seriously injured. Coach Paul Maurice classified Jokinen's status as closer to "day to day" than "week to week" and added that Jokinen might be able to skate a bit on his own as early as Friday. We'll keep you posted.

Thanks, dudeness.
Glad I resisted the urge to drop him, unlike the 1000 some-odd other Yahoo leagues that Yahoo keeps nagging me about.
