The quality of the players is far better on the side getting 2. Thats what you\'re missing.

I might do that 2nd trade but definitely not the first. I don\'t see a huge difference between Mason and Backstrom... in my opinion Backstrom is more a product of a good defensive system - they are similarly skilled goalies.

That being said Letang is the best player in the trade - if you can get him i\'d consider it, but not the first trade.

i agree , letang has high future value , another few years before the real #\'s show and i feel backstrom is an upgrade on mason , it\'s all about the best player(s).
