    I always feel ice time = fantasy opportunity. With this in mind I have to take Clitsome out of this group. Over the first few games of the season he is playing more minutes than any other player on CLB. I know Wis will return soon, but it shows the amount of confidence the coach has in Clitsome...meaning he's all but cemented a central role with this team. Points will come given his situation.

    Niskanen and Spurgeon intrigue me as 1-year options, but I don't think either will see the kind of opportunity Clitsome will.

    I'd consider Niskanen, he's getting a ton of PP time in Pitt and he's going to have to show something quick for that to continue.
    It's likely he shows nothing and goes back to warming the bench but I would pick him up for the next week or so and see what happens

    Blum, Niskanen, Clitsome. Although I have Blum 1st I might go with Niskanen If you are allowed unlimited pickups. Give him a try and if it doesn't work out dump him and grab one of the other guys. I'm sure in 2 weeks the'll still be a solid guy out there. He has the highest point ceiling this year imo as he is getting 1st PP time on the Penguins PP and with Crosby likely coming back soon he could have a breakout year. Worth the gamble in my opinion. If you want to play it safe go with Blum.

    I just found out that a GM higher up on the waiver order then me is going to be taking Clitsome, shitty deal.

    With that said I think i'll take a flyer in Niskanen and if that fails Blums the way to go. I like what i have seen so far with Niskanen and if he stick on the PP it could be good times. thanks all.

    With Clitsome out of the pic , I'd gamble on either Rundblad or Spurgeon , in that order.
    Gonchar has sucked and Ott. is in a posistion to allow it's youth to grow in the league on a fulltime basis , so why not gamble on the rookie.
