I Want Jordan Staal On My Team

So I've realized that I officially have a man crush on Jordan Staal and I want to own him on my team. For the team in my sig, what do you guys think is the best offer for him? I was thinking Landeskog or a couple of farm guys for him as the guy who owns him is in the 1st year of a rebuild.

Landeskog and Lack would be my starting point,maybe Landeskog and Smith I'm not entirley sure really but I can justify either one for Staal

Thing is Kesler didn't have 2 of the best 3 players in the NHL in front of him in his own position.

In the case that Crosby returns and Staal ends up centering Malkin, I think he would have significant value. However I have no clue what the chances of this are, but I know it gets discussed here often. Maybe someone with Pittsburgh insights can fill us in?

Hard to say but I would expect Staal and Malkin to see time together when all three of Crosby, Malkin and Staal are in the lineup. Heading into last year it was a plan to play Malkin and Staal together and after Staal came back they were on the same line. Obviously it didn't last long as first Crosby went down and soon after Malkin. But hard to say what the lines will be this year when Sid comes back. Bylsma has talked about playing Staal and Malkin together but also playing the 3C model so it will likely depend on the opponent and the score, what the lines will look like.

Vitale's good play and having Letestu and Jeffrey on the team would definately allow playing Staal and Malkin together.

staal has gotten over 18 min per game since 07-08 and has been close to 20 for a few years now

while the depth chart might have him as the third line center he is not in danger of seeing 3rd line ice time

LOL, thanks for the back and forth but does anyone have any opinions on what I could offer as a trade for Staal? It's the team in my sig. Landeskog & Lack seems a bit steep to me, plus I'd have to drop someone as well.

What about Voracek for Staal?

I'd trade Voracek for Staal but only if it's confirmed he is to play with Malkin. Kind of a risk.

if you can get him to bite its a good deal for you but i dont see it as enough
