Niittymaki or Smith?

Currently I have Niittymaki but Smith is available. Should I go after Smith who will probably start more games this year?
I am in a keeper league. My other two goalies are Luongo and Thomas and I am set in the future with some prospects I have (when Thomas retires).

i would absolutely go with Smith over Nitty. Smith may be a gamble but at least he is a gamble for a starting spot.

Nitty is done. He will never be a starting tender, cant stay healthy enough. Neimi is the starter in SJ, and i wouldnt be surprised if Nitty returns to Europe after his contract is up.

Smith may flop, but its a risk worth taking, especially with your other goalies. With Nitty, you know what your going to get, 20-25 games, he will go on a streak at some point during the year but eventually fall apart.

Yeah Smith for me too. I very much trust Justin Goldman and if he says Smith is not as bad as people make him out to be then that's what I'm going by.

I concur with the rest. Smith absolutely over Nitty. Probable starter > not a starter every time!

Gotta go for Smith, even if it wasnt for niemi, the sharks still have 2 more solid young tenders coming to take the job
