Default Is Kurtis Foster fantasy relevant anymore?

Pretty much shit the bed in Edmonton this season.

Will he still get PP time to try and utilize his cannon next year, or is he done? I see he didn't even make the top D list.

    Not good.

Just finished an inaugural keeper draft. At the end of which I contemplated drafting him as a bench player to sub for injured starters.

    I passed.

I just think his 42pt season was the outlier and everyone (including I) bit. Probably levels around 30...certainly not much more.

Ya, I happened to own him during that breakout year, which makes it even tougher to drop him.

Guess I will wait and see what happens during the offseason, and grab whoever makes sense over K-Fost.

    Not relevant.

But his 42pt season in TBay sure gives hope to guys owning Hedman. If Foster can put up 42 on that PP unit, just imagine what Hedman will be doing...

He misses several games every year and historically has been very hit-or-miss. I personally would not bother. Even if he rebounds with 35 points how can you be certain that he'll maintain that production moving forward?

Exactly. Look at his numbers and you realize the 42 was more a hiccup than anything.

yep in the same draft I didnt even contemplate him to the last of 28 rounds and even then there were better options. He has a cannon from the point and thats about it so if he can find himself on a deadly pp again (like the one in tampa) then he could hit 35 + again, but if not he doesnt have the skills to put up numbers at even strength.

If you count SOG he certainly is. Otherwise I'd pass in most leagues.

exactly. tied for 11th in the league for SOG by a dman. if he gets out of edmonton the points will come, the plus minus will increase etc.

If he couldn't produce despite Ryan Whitney being out more than half the season, I would not hold out much hope of him doing any better with Whitney back in the equation next season.

Sounds like I have my latest ww dangler. Always nice to have someone expendable should a player tweak my interest. I will be following John Moore in Clb very closely during camp (would grab him now, but with no farm, I only want active players)

    Thanks!!

    Dump Foster.

If you look closely at his 42 point season, you will see that the coach had confidence in his as there weren't many options and Foster has a good shot.

In EDM, he was far from the first option. He won't be. They have bigger issues to deal with and Foster just won't put up decent numbers that you can't find elsewhere.
