Didn't realize this was an established league...
Our league is a 28 team league. We just simply wanted another avenue to interact with each other and also interact as a whole with the Dobber community. We welcome interaction in the thread by ALL if you as a dobber community memeber wish to chime in about anything. Also for the league mates to interact and banter about league related material. Make it a fun thing. We are 28 members who are highly experienced and solid owners, most of which I have a history with in various other leagues.

I'm in a couple of similar (yet smaller 16 team - both in sig) leagues GM'd by Shakedown. Let me say that for those who have not yet experienced this, you're in for a real treat as Shakedown is very dilligent in running a tight ship.
I was asked to join this league but unfortunately could not commit the time. Seeing as I have previous experience with the scoring structure and definite interest in how your draft/league plays out, I will be commenting my thoughts on this league as it's updated on this thread.
I'm by no means an expert, but hopefully you'll enjoy reading a neutral opinion on this thread (when I get a chance to post).
Good luck to all of you in the draft!

Here's my take on the two "best value" and the two "biggest reaches" of round one.
Best Value:
1. Ryan Getzlaf going #20. Wow, I think he's a top 10 in this format myself, but at the very least a top 15. The Jets are very fortunate to have gotten him with this pick.
2. Roberto Luongo going #26. Lou is definitely a top 3 G IMO and Carey Price going ahead of him is crazy. The Stars were very fortunate to have landed him here.
HM: Green at #13 and Tavares at #21
Biggest reaches:
1. Dany Heatley going #23. I think he'll bounce back after having a disappointing season (in fact I've added him to one of my teams as a by low) but going #23 after getting less than 70pts this year is a little mind boggling. He's a scorer and should perform well in this format but I think there was better value out there (ie Lou!) at this spot.
2. Carey Price going #18. How he goes ahead of Miller/Lou in any league is beyond me.
Dis-HM: DD going #7 (and 6 spots ahead of Green) and Kesler going #8. I know Kesler's a beast in this format, but he's at his ceiling IMO where as there are several others who have another gear.
I'll try to follow each round and chime in when I can. So far it looks like a pretty standard round 1.
10-team Auction League, $160 team salary, weekly H2H, start: 6F, 4D, 1G and 5 Bench
Scoring structure: (F : 1pt G / 1pt A / 0.15pts SOG / 0.15pts Hits / 0.15pts BlkS), (G : 5 pts W / 3 pts SO / 0.01 pts Saves)
Forwards : Ovechkin ($43), Kessel ($20), Benn ($7), Spezza ($13), Brown ($7), Marchand ($13), Landeskog ($3), Elias ($1), Plekanec ($1),
Defenses : Letang ($26), Visnovsky ($1), Bieksa ($1), Faulk ($2) Ehrhoff ($2)
Goalies : Holtby ($7), Nabokov ($2)
i have to disagree with u on this . in this set ups price is way more valuable then lui. even last year with this set up lui got 421.1 pts where price had 473.9. price actually got the most pts in our set up for any goalie and he is still young. im not saying lu is old but i feel that he is on the downside curve of his career. he is still solid for sure but i think he only has 2-4 more years of elite status in him and then he will be great but not elite.
price on the other hand is a guy who is only going up from here.
as for your other thoughts. i think ur bang on with getz slipping that much. i couldnt believe it either. the guy is a stud and i always rank him top 15 minimum but prob more like top10-12.
i have to agree with u on DD and kesler also. i think both were drafted a little early imo. i personally would of thought they would last till the end of the first.
another thing that really shocked me was crosby and malkin still going 2/3. i know that they are the big 3. but with this set up and perry and stammer putting up huge years and injury questions surrounding them i thought maybe they might slide a spot or 2.

You make good poitns about Price but my concern is if he's for real or not (I know he's good, but is he really a top tier, say top 5 G?). I also think the Canadians are a "pretenders" team and I don't see them being a major contender with their current core of players. I know he had a great year this year but to take him that early because of it is something that caught me by surprise. Good luck to whoever took him as that's a very important pick in this deep draft.

We are early 4th round and almost all of the goalies are gone. There are about 10 guys without them including the commish. I wonder how that strategy will land? I went the other direction and drafted the most reliable goalie I could find in Lundqvist. For our league setup he has been between 430-480 in points every year. I passed on some incredibly talented forwards and D to do it though.
I am interested to see how this league works. It's my first year in a points breakdown like this one so everything is a calculated guess.
