Default Dropping Brodeur - Who to pickup?

In year 1 of a 6 year limited keeper and i am in second place gaining ground fast on 1st.

I am finally ready to drop Brodeur as he has been useless to me all year; and I am looking for advice on a good replacement. Available are:

    Miller
    Hiller
    Bryzgalov
    Anderson
    Vokoun
    Kipper
    Backstrom
    Rolo

I can make the cap space work for either one of them; Hiller had a beauty SO tonight but I am leaning toward Bryz.

Howard is my current number 1 but I may or may not keep him depending on what kind of raise he gets this summer; so I need to consider the future here as well...

    Any thoughts appreciated....Thanks!

Is this a 4-6 team league? How are those goalies all available? Any of the 1st 3 are better options than Brodeur but I'd lean toward Bryz as well.

Seriously. Does your list include guys you could get in trade for Brodeur?

    I'd go Miller, Bryzgalov, Hiller.

Holy crap.... I cannot believe the goalies available. What are your scoring cats for goalies and who are your other goalies? I think you can pretty much plug any hole with what is available.

I can't believe its taken you this long to dump Brodeur (no offense Marty...) when there is talent like this available. Make this move now before its too late for your season.

Hold on... just read your post properly which has all the info.

I would be dropping both Howard and Brodeur for what is available. You mentioned a raise in regards to Howard. Is this a salary league. If so, I know next to nothing about salary leagues, but that will not stop me from telling you to drop Howard and Brodeur for Miller and Bryzgalov.... RIGHT NOW!

ps... I have had a few drinks and have never been in a salary league pool before. Take this advice for what it is worth.

First of all, we need to know what is the league style? Roto, H2H cats or points? For a salary league I'd be more inclined to drop Howard as well and go with Hiller/Miller or Hiller/Bryz. But I'd have to know the league format. As well how much salary do you have to play with? Vokoun is also someone you should be keeping an eye on especially if he goes to a cup contending team in a deal before deadline day. If he gets traded I'd definitely be scooping him up if he is style on the wire by then.

Haha seems like it. Its actually an 11 team league. Everyone has picked up goalies on the cheap for whatever reason; and there is always mad IR drops when ever a goalie gets hurt.

Thanks Wedgy. Can't drop Howard this year as he is playing every night and his $0.7M salary is a pretty sick bang for buck. If i picked up Miller Hiller or Bryz I would be right at the cap limit.

    Hey Smokie,

Draft format is all points as follows:

    Goals: 2 points
    Assists: 1 points
    Power play Goals: 3 points
    Power play Assists: 2 point
    Shorthanded Goals: 4 points
    Shorthanded Assists: 3 points
    Plus/Minus: 0.5 points
    Goalie Win: 3 points
    Goalie Shut Out: 4 points
Goalie Shoot Out Win: 1 points
Goalie Shoot Out Loss: .5 points

Good point about Vokoun... This decision is getting harder.

Miller: Very tired lately, playing like crap as of late and most expensive: best pedigree though
Hiller: Coming off the IR with dizziness, and headaches (scary)
Bryz: Under 30, good contract, sort of weak team
Vokoun: On crap team now; contract up this year - could go anywhere (Detroit would be sick, but he could end up Ottawa)

    Thanks Smokie,

    League is straight points:

    Goals: 2 points
    Assists: 1 points
    Power play Goals: 3 points
    Power play Assists: 2 point
    Shorthanded Goals: 4 points
    Shorthanded Assists: 3 points
    Plus/Minus: 0.5 points
    Goalie Win: 3 points
    Goalie Shut Out: 4 points
Goalie Shoot Out Win: 1 points
Goalie Shoot Out Loss: .5 points

Good point about Vokoun. I am really leaning to Bryz or Hiller (4.5M each). I have 1.2M in the bank; will IR drop Brodeur, leaving me with 6.6 total.
Would like to leave a bit in the bank in case a deal comes my way...
