The good news is Green is on the ice the morning. I'm not sure if he is playing tonight, but he is on the ice. Ovechkin is not. Semin is also.

I have seen/read nothing to suggest that he will be out for any extended period. As far as Carlson, over the last 5 games he has the highest average PP time on the team.Originally Posted by willdog

It would help Carlson's numbers! Carlson ended up with over 27 minutes sunday. I don't foresee Green missing anymore than tonights game. I don't think he will start tonight but it wouldn't surprise me if he does. I am benching him either way....I don't seem him being a major producer tonight if he is cleared to play.

Both coach Bruce Boudreau and Mike Green (head) think that he'll play on Saturday.
"I'm sure. I have no qualms about it or there's no doubts in my mind, anyway," Boudreau said. "Unless something really strange happens this afternoon." Green sounded equally confident, calling himself 100%. He has eight goals and 24 points in 47 games this season.
