    Default Crawford Trade Ideas

I don't want to overreact because of one post-all-star game and Dobber article, but... I'm wondering if it would be worth it for me to deal Crawford and "cash in" with what he's done so far this season. The guy who owns Turco in our league is a huge Hawks homer and I'm sure would be interested in acquiring Crawford.

His current goalie situation is Lehtonen, Anderson, Turco. I would target Lehtonen in the deal. And there are a few other guys on his squad I'd be interested in acquiring - Ryan, Kovy, and Briere.

So, considering I give Crawford and get Lehtonen... which of those three forwards I listed would you recommend I also target - and who else (if anyone?) on my squad would I have to include with Crawford to make it fair? And, would this hurt my goalie situation too much?

    Thanks for any help!

Personally I think Dobber is delusional on Turco getting his job back... mind you it's not the only place I've heard it.

I think your goalie situation with Rinne and an improved Brodeur allows you to make the trade. Target Briere. People tend to undervalue him, but he gets points.

Thanks 93213. I think its a real long shot that Turco wins the number one job back, too.

I guess my real concern is this: Would Lehtonen be too much of a downgrade from Crawford (if Crawford does keep that number one job)... even if I could also get a winger like Briere or Kovy in the package. I want to be confident that Brodeur will keep up his improved play in the second half, but......... I don't know. Man, my goaltending situation has been such a pain this year.

    Any other thoughts guys?

If you can get Lehtonen +, and are willing to take the risk on him getting injured I think it's a good deal for you. Dallas is playing very well.
