Default Crawford or Backstrom for the rest of the season

One year points league. Scoring categories for goalies:
    Wins: 2.5
    Losses: -0.5
    GA: -0.5
    SV: 0.2
    SHO: 7

I am looking to move one of my goalies, since I will have no problem reaching the maximum for the position. If I move a goalie, it is almost more important that the one I keep plays most matches than that he plays really well.

So if you think it is close, I want you to guess who will play more matches.

Last night's performance aside I prefer Crawford here. He's going to get plenty of starts down the stretch as Chicago fights for playoff position. So with that in mind I see no discrepancy between the number of games played. If anything Backstrom's nagging injury will cost him some games. Crawford in the end is the better option.

I'll second that for Crawford. He should hold on to the starting gig in Chicago and I don't think I am alone in believing that the Hawks will post more victories than the Wild down the stretch.
The peripherals should also be in Crawford's favor here so Crawford all the way

Ended up keeping both and trading Lehtonen instead. My Lehtonen and Iginla for his Kopitar and P Kane.

Kane and Kopitar is a great return for a injury prone Goalie and a superstar who maybe on his last legs. I think that might be one of the best trades i've seen this year!!! Well done

    Thank you!

It's a one year league with a maximum of 78 games per slot. Even after the trade he won't get to 3x78 in goal, while I should have no problem getting there even after trading one goalie. He was also way ahead of schedule for centers + had Dubinsky coming off IR.

We did some math on it and it is a win-win situation. He will probably make about 130 extra fantasypoints with this trade, while I get all the points for Kopitar from now on. That should be about 170 if he keeps up his current pace.

I am not completely sure who wins the Iginla/Kane part of the deal though. Kane has only averaged 3.8 fantasypoints per match so far...and as low as 3.0 the last 30 days. Iginla has been much better with 4.9 so far. If they maintain their current pace, we should both end up getting an extra 150 points.

I still think it is more likely that Kane will heat up and Iginla slow down, than the other way around. If that happens I am the big winner in this one...but both really wins vs the rest of our league.
