Vetoable Trade?
A tade in our 15-team Roto Keeper league took place over the holidays that has many of us wondering if it was a Christmas gift from on GM who is in last place to hi Son in law who is fighting for 1st place

That one stinks or at least smells funny. I hate any veto, and probably wouldn't vote on this one either, but I think it should be addressed. What do your league bylaws state?

I think you'll find that every Dobberite hates vetoes, but I'd have to go there on this one given the family connection and their places in the standings.
Tough to veto (since Doughty's been slow, Hossa hurt, Callahan's overproducing, and Tarasenko has big upside -- it's possible he thought he was doing okay), but it's a bad deal.
Looks more like someone fell for quantity over quality.

I definitely call them out for this one. At the very least, they will come back with something that is a bit closer to being fair.
I´d ask both gms to explain their intention and i ´d inform them, that i have a problem with this trade! Allthough veto isn´t a good tool here, every comish has to take care about his league. If trades like this happen between family members, you might see some guys quit.
Like Dennis said. Vetoing should only be used in an instance of cheating. I'd ask both guys why they did the trade. If neither of them panic or know exactly why they did it, leave it. However, it does smell fishy because the father IN LAW magically helped out the son in law...
