Backstrom I have 65 and EJ I have around 50 for next year, but Backstrom could be so much higher...
You\'d be paying a pretty steep price for those guys, I\'m not sure I would do that

NO WAY Johnson will have 50 pts next year !
I agree, I dont see Johnson getting more than 40 this season, and thats at best for him.
.....Dont question the Dobber...
I agree with U on this Dobbs

thanks for the advice,so realisticly getzlaf straight up for backstrom would be a rewarding deal on my part , getz is good for 70 tops , although he looks good in this game tonight!, and backstrom should push high 80+ when he gets rolling.will contemplate this one , who knows getz might bust the 80\'s.Backstrom I have 65 and EJ I have around 50 for next year, but Backstrom could be so much higher...

Wow .. So your telling us that M. Carle and K.Bieksa are way better defense than E. Johnson??? C\'mon now , If Carle and Bieksa can make 40 points each in there 1st or 2nd year ...I\'m totaly sure that E. Johnson will make that easy easy 40 points ... Don\'t you think??

Thanks Once again guys!!!!

Ok you have to realize Johnson has no previous NHL experience. The stats that you are talking about came after Carle already had 23 NHL games under his belt (Including playoffs) and Bieksa had 39. That makes a huge difference considering that they averaged a combined .24 points per game through their first years in the NHL, but both managed to break 40 points in their second year.Incubodie wrote:

For Johnson to break 40 points this year, he would have to average .49 points per game, and that\'s if he plays all 82 games this season. Now you may argue that Johnson has much more talent than the other two, but you should at least compare their first year stats and not just have skipped to their second year stats. Experience can mean all the difference in the world. If you wanted to, Phaneuf would have been a good argument for the situation
