Best IR stash candidate?
Hossa will get activated soon, but I figure that before he does, I can drop Pitkanan and grab a valuable guy off IR. Then I will just flip that guy to IR for a late-season trade or activation and activate Hossa. Genius, right? So who's the best available IR stash from this list? (I don't really know which of these guys is out for the season and who might be back in time to matter. That obviously is an issue!)

I think you're all right... I was leaning to Downie. Tried to trade for him earlier in the season - glad i didn't, now that I might get him for free!
I don't think Yahoo will take Hossa off of IR until Wednesday when he (perhaps) plays, so I might wait until tomorrow to let Pitkanen play his game and then drop him.

You're probably right, but, even though the player has the "IR" next to his name doesn't mean he won't play. Lecavalier's first game back, still was listed as IR. But the stats still showed up. I'd watch closely to see when Hossa returns.Originally Posted by jimc21
