Sorry for the ignorance but HT refers to?

Each week we start six forwards, three defensemen and one goalie.
I already have a good idea of what I want to do, just thought that I would throw it out there for the masses.

Hits I believe.
:silly: HT= hat-trick
God bless us,everyone of us!
Gut reaction:
F(5): Kovalchuk, Iginla, Semin, Zetterberg, Havlat*
D(2): Boyle, Carle, Bouwmeester
G(1): Fleury
+1: Straka, Giguere, or Cheechoo. I am honestly not sure which one of these three I\'d keep. If you think Cheech\'s due for a major rebound, I\'d go with him. If not, and you think Giguere will end up somewhere good, I\'d go with him. And if neither, Straka should be good for another 70+ point season.
Obviously Backstrom\'s your rookie.
You could argue for dropping Carle or Bouwmeester in favor of one of those three above. Maybe. I think they\'re both good for 45+, maybe even mid-50\'s next season. I assume there\'s a draft for additional players? May be easier to replace a Straka or Cheechoo than one of those two. Could be wrong.
* I\'m sure it\'s obvious that Havlat\'s trade bait. After 6-8 games, when he\'s at or near the top of the league in scoring - and at or near his (literal) breaking point - you should be able to get top dollar for him.

There seems to be a lot of agreement on the forwards and d-men and I too would vote for Kovalchuk, Iginla, Semin, Zetterberg, Havlat, Cheechoo, Backstrom (rookie), Boyle, Carle, and Bouwmeester.
It looks to me like top goalies are worth a lot in your league. Could you keep both Giggy and Fleury at the expense of a forward or defencemen? If you could I think it would be worth it. I would probably cut Carle but one could make a case for a few of those guys.

What I have been thinking is the following:
Kovalchuk, Iginla, Semin, Zetterberg, Havlat, Backstrom (rookie)
Bouwmeester, Carle, Boyle
Fleury, Gigure.
Havlat would be used as traid bait after the first 10 games or so (provided he doesn\'t hurt some weird muscle or bone that none of us have heard of before).
Picking up scoring forwards in the draft is fairly easy (even with an 11th round pick out of 12 teams). I have just had to try and decide if there is a better way of doing this. I guess I will have to see what I can get in the way of picks for some of the players I have no intention on protection (but that would still be useful to other teams. Ie: Zubov, Starka, Cheechoo)
Thanks for the help guys.
