Exclamation Need Help! Trade Advice...Rep Given

I've been offered Joe Thornton and Jussi Jokinen for Patrick Sharp and Taylor Hall.

    Would you pull the trigger?

Leaves a big hole on your LW but this is a damn good sell high on Sharp. I say go for it.

Where are you in the standings?

I would agree that you'd be maxing the return on Sharp... Hall appears to be heating up but he's still young and on an oilers team that is streaky.... so too is his play.

Thornton will get you a lot more assists.... Jokinen would hopefully provide you some offence too.... I would say that it is a good trade and that Sharp for Thornton is a great deal. Jokinen for Hall... that is a little bit more speculative.... JOkinen is already proven, but Hall has youth and some great talent....

If this isn't a keeper league, you're good

I've since picked up Joffrey Lupul to help me on the LW. I picked him up and have had him in my IR slot for when he returns...which he has.

I really want to sell high on Sharp while I can.

I need to update my sig to show the changes ive made since then.

    Keeper league. No

1 yr league. I think so.

I'm not that big on JJ. However Thornton is the best player in the deal. My worry is that Sharp slows down a bit (he has to, doesn't he?)
and then Hall picks up the pace a la Stamkos in the 2nd 1/2 this year.

I know people are a little worried/confused with JTs play lately but bottom line is that he is still a point per game player. He still fits in my top 10!

Definitely a sell-high on Sharp. Getting Thornton for him is really good - after all, he is a point-per-game player. Hall has been hot lately, but like all rookies, he's going to be a roller-coaster ride. Jokinen is not a bad replacement. Just my 2 cents.

Thorton>Sharp as he is a consistant PPG but Sharp usually slows down in the 2nd half. The Sharks have been slower as of late but he will pick it up. Jokinen in my opinion is more proven a producer than Hall, but to be honest depending on how deep your league is you might be able to get better from the WW. What are some of the names on the WW?

Yes why wouldn't you? Both are upgrades over your current players.

Do the trade, but as a sidenote: the whole sharp always open hot and then slow down is just a myth.
