Default Corey Crawford becoming the No. 1?

Corey Crawford has been available all year in my league, and I've been paying close attention to him. He's started 3 of 4 of Chicago's last games, winning all 3, including back-to-back games. He's also set to start Sunday after Turco lost to Vancouver.

I already have 3 great goalies (Lundy, Howard, Lehtonen), but if Crawford becomes a starter I'm thinking of picking him up and then trading him or one of my goalies for something, because he would be very valuable and probably post a lot of Ws (my league is points only, only counts W and SHO).

I also read somewhere that apparently in the summer, Bowman and Quenneville (GM and Coach of Chicago) said they thought it may be time to see what Crawford can offer the organization.

What are your thoughts? Will he take the No. 1 job?

It's possibly and I hope so.

Gamble on it, but don't bank on it. Not every rookie goalie comes in a steals the job. It's worth the risk, but be ready to only get 40% of the starts.

    I really hope he doesn't that's all I know.

I've never been a Turco fan but when you inherit a team and he's the starter, I need all the help I can get.

my money is on crawford for two reasons.

the first is because i picked him up.

the second is because this is reminiscent of last year - Huet/Niemi
