Default Worth a Drop for Savard?

Team and League info in sig.

I dropped Hemsky last week to pick up Pavelec (I've been getting killed in goalie stats, and Hemsky hasn't done much lately except being a scratch).

Obviously it sucks as now I have four goalies (overkill). As Marc Savard is nearing his return, should I snag him off of FA before someone else does?

Problem is I need to drop someone to even pick him up and get him on IR. Is Turco the guy to drop right now? I could pick him back up in 2 days because I don't want to waste my number 1 waiver on the guy. (Obviously someone would need to move again if I want to activate Savard after his trial run).

Also, was Hemsky a smart drop for Pavelec, or should Turco have been the one to go? Hemsky is still out there.

    Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't have dropped Hemsky. He's the Oil's best player and should start to produce.

You have a really small, really tight team so it's hard to ssay who to drop for who. However, I would hae probably dropped Turco for Pavelec but even that's a hard pill to swallow.

Have you tried to go the trade route with other GMs? 2-1 deal would solve a lot of your problems.

I agree that you should try and shop some 2 for 1's but you want to keep Pavelec and move Turco and if you want Savard then yes I drop Turco becuase his price is at its lowest so you wont get much...As for Hemsky meh it wont break you and I can see how Pavelec was intriguing!

I kept Turco and picked up Pavelec with the intention of eventually packaging one of them with another player. So yes, I am going to try that.

My concern now is that by waiting on a trade to be accepted and go through, Savard may be back and snatched up by then.

If I drop someone now, I can add Savard and stash him on IR. If the player I dropped clears waivers, I will pick him back up. I guess my question is which player would most likely clear waivers?

I'm an idiot for not stashing Savard when I dropped Hemsky for Pavelec.

Ugh, go figure Hemsky is putting numbers up across the board tonight now that I dropped him.

I should have known that would happen. Why did Vanek go on his hot streak? Because I traded him away.

    Hmmpffff.

Sooooo, since I just dropped Turco, and stashed Savard on IR, do I bother waiting for Turco to clear waivers in 2 days?

Or do I just pick Hemsky up again? Grrr...maybe I'll grab him again, then include a RW in a package to improve my G and leave Turco out there to rot.

Not to make you feel bad or anything, but Hemsky has 3 pts. tonight.

Yep. See above post. I tend to have that effect on players.

i'd get Savard and if had hemsky would advocating dropping him to get savard..2 for 1 brodeur and turco for a modest G upgrade then add Savard...if you can't do that i'd keep turco as brodeur is not a sure thing this year nor is pavelec where as you're heavily stacked at forward already across the board
