if you were asking if you should take Spezza for Kovalchuik i'd say yea...can't say Kovalchuk's situation is one i'd advocate anyone else to get into at the expense of a point per game option in Spezza..no in my opinion for a one year league
I think you're pretty solid at wing right now anyway. Why add a player with a question mark around his head for someone like Spezza who will only better serve your team in the long run?

That being said, I could eat my words if Spezza goes down (like he tends to do) and Kovalchuk starts to heat up.

I think that these other factors make it a great roll of the dice move. You can't predict Spezza's health and you can't predict if/when Kovalchuk wakes up this season. Go with your gut.

with 2 C start...Spezza had more value to you than Kovalchuk does since oyou'd otherwise be forced to rely on Pavelski/Ribiero consistently as #2 center option where as you have over-stacked LW and RW option and are only required to start 1 of each specifically along w/ 4 F...keep Spezza
I've got to agree with MT. Keep Spezza. He's a superstar, and his current cold streak is likely to end in a big way soon. I don't like what I see from Kovy or the Devils, and I wouldn't get involved in that mess this year (I drafted 3 Devils, and believe me, I've regretted it). They could shake it, but why risk it?
I still think I'd rather roll the dice on Kovalchuk. He's far less likely to be injured and he has a bigge upside than Spezza. The worst part of the whoe deal is that you'd have to wait it out and you could come up with a big goose egg.
However, now that I look more closely at your stats, you can't start more than 1 RW/LW and you're already stacked there. Try moving Spezza for another Centre.
