Time to blow up my team?
I am near the bottom of my pool right now. It's very early of course but when I look at the problems I don't see things improving.
It's the team in my sig. My worries are my bottom-end forwards. I've already unloaded Zherdev for James Neal. Now my concerns are the disappointing play of Frolov, Hudler and the injury to Parise. I only have 5 moves all year including for injuries, one of which I've already used for Neal, so 4 left on the season. No bench/No IR. Pts only.
Available are Selanne, who I think is my top pick right now, Callahan, Hejduk, Ladd, Dubinsky, Justin Williams, Ville Leino (perhaps my next pick), Brendan Morrison, Stoll, Cullen, Kopecky, Animisov, Oshie, Hartnell, Moulson, Bertuzzi, Clarke Macarthur, Tanguay.
A lot of these guys I don't see consistently putting up the numbers they have early on. Teemu is on the PP a tonne so he's in a good place. I think it's really early to burn a bunch of my limited trades and yet I feel pretty strongly that if I stick with what I have there's no way I'll be rising to #1. Winner takes all, perhaps drastic times call for drastic measures.
Thoughts??
