Default Seeking input on my draft please

    1 Year Yahoo H2H (8 Team): G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG - W, GAA, SV%, SHO
    2C, 2LW, 2RW, 4D, 2G, 4B.

    C: Stastny, Kopitar, Spezza, Tavares
LW: Kovalchuk (RW), Eriksson, Cammalleri, Clowe
    RW: Perry, Hemsky
    D: Lidstrom, Yandle, Whitney, Subban
    G: Miller, Brodeur

    My opinions:

Tavares - Probably should have passed on him in a 1 year pool. It's possible that he has a great year but honestly, he'll probably fall into about 65 points. I'm thinking of using him in a trade. Really sucks that he's on the cannot cut list as well.

Hemsky & Cammalleri - Both of these guys could easily be replaced. I'm mainly worried about Hemsky's injury risk. Both are 65 point guys, much like players on the wire. However, are there guys you see getting the same about of points as them, and adding to my other stat cats?

Subban - Perhaps I'm risking too much on him. There are other options: Letang, Martin, Greene, Zidlicky, & Burns.

As many of you already know, with only 8 GMs the players on the wire are abundant.

    Forwards:

    Pavelski
    Pominville
    Krejci
    Duchene
    Wolski

    D-men:

    Letang
    Burns
    Zidlicky
    Martin
    Greene

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

hmmm I'd probably pick up Pav over Hemmer, a bit more security as well as upside there.

Tavares I'd wait a bit on. See how he starts, if he struggles he'll be off the can't cut list.

I'd hang on to Subban for now, but keep an eye on Zidlicky, he always seems to produce under the radar. The knock on him is that he won't be very good for the +/- or SOG, and it's not worth gambling on him in the pre-season. Subban has more hype, so give him 10 games or so to see how he performs. If he sucks then make the swap.

I think Tavares's season will be impacted by the loss of Streit and Okposo as they are the main players on the power-play. I'd expect a 50-55 point season, still not too shabby. If I were you I wouldn't be so quick to trade him since he got off to a great start last season and I expect the same this year around, even with the loss of Streit and Okposo. When November comes around, and he slows down, see what you can get based on the inflated numbers. Also take into account the time table for Okposo's return. Also monitor the players on the wire and see how they're doing.

As far as Subban is concerned, I think there is obviously a lot of hype around him and we will see how he delivers. I'd keep my eye on Greene, he's going to be running the Devils PP and should get great numbers because of that.

I like Pavelski and Duchene a lot from that list. You are pretty strong at C already though. I agree that Tavares is the question mark on your roster. Especially with Okposo out for a while. Keep a close watch on the two mentioned above and have a short leash on JT.
