What is wrong with my team? Serious advise needed!

Hey guys,

so I\'m in a 10 team, 1/2 keeper league pts only ( can protect about 700 - 800 pts )

I\'m in 5th position (100 points behind leader), and I am frustrated with my team!
Just wanted to know if there are any obvious things i need to change

my team consists of

Jiri Hudler (c/rw)
Michael Ryder (this guy is making me angry)
Steve Sullivan (ir) (i\'m a preds fan so i am hopeful he\'s coming back)

Defense

Shea Weber
Tom Poti
Joni Pitkanen
Michal Roszival

Goalie
Kari Lehtonen
Chris Mason
Peter Budaj
Tim Thomas

As you can see I\'m using a 4 goalie system rather than a 3 goalie. On the free agent list there\'s no decent guys available and therefore I made that decision

Top 3 free agents for pts only available in each position are on center: RJ Umberger, Viktor Kozlov, John Madden
on LW: Pyatt, Schaefer, Fedotenko
on RW: kotalik, hamilton, stumpel
on D: Gill, campoli, keith
on Goalie: Garon, Hedberg, Bryzgalov

I would really appreciate any help, as it makes me really mad.

I just made a trade that sent Andy Mcdonald to another team for Jiri Hudler, and now Mcdonald plays for St.Louis i expect him to actually step it up there so I am regretting that trade.

I\'ve offered another guy in the league henrik sedin and naslund for kane and gomez, and I keep hearing that that is an insane trade offer.

So I\'m hoping someone can tell me a little bit what i should change.

I\'m no hockey guru by all means, so it\'s quite possible I\'m doing something wrong

Well its tough to give you an advise, but i can tell you what i would do in your situation.

1. Drop Budaj, Add Bryzgalov
2. Drop Ryder, add anyone else, everyone will do better
3. Try to sell high Whitney and/or Weber and go for a scoring defender like Matthieu Schneider, Brian Rafalski or try to gamble with players like Jovanovski, McCabe or Pitkanen.

First:
If the 5th position is 100 Pts behind the leader with the amount of player you all have, you still have great chances. So don\'t panic !!

Second:
Go get Bryzgalov, try trading Thomas and Budaj.

Third:
Try trading a center (Richards) for a solid right winger and draft Umberger. Then drop Ryder.

Forth:
wait and see !

Well i was trying to get Kane and Gomez for H Sedin and Naslund (the guy who owns kane is a Canuck fan) and he rejected it, is that trade worth it with antropov in it? or is antropov really going to slow down soon.

I do believe that I can get boyes for naslund straight up. Which would be ok, but I think it would be better if I can actually get a player such as kane instead.

Is Brad Richards going to be a 90+ point player or is this a typical sell high situation?

So I did drop ryder for Garon now. I think garon may be taking over some time from roloson. And I think edmonton is the better team over phoenix, therefore i didn\'t pick bryzgalov.

Now i\'m having 5 goalies, so I\'m trying to figure out if I can trade one for a forward within the next couple of days, or else i will drop one goalie for a forward

You just picked up a goalie that is the latter of a 75/25 split over a undesputed #1 tender who will start 75-80% of the teams games...also, you could easily argue that phoenix is just as good and is only going to get better...

I think you made a mistake there.
