Every arena has there own statisticians, and I can imagine they all have a slightly different opinion on what a Hit is.
Are hits a legitimate stat? I want to use them in my pool but my friend tells me that the reason the NHL doesn't give awards or show these on leader boards is because there is a bunch of inconsistencies in recording this. Have you guys heard anything?

D: Subban, Doughty, Byfuglien, Jones, Mcdonagh, Fowler
G: Price, Holtby, Halak, Reimer
It's easy to track a team's history and see where the bias lies. I've noticed the Rangers and Stars have some abnormally high totals. It applies the same to all players. I prefer hits over shorthanded points where even the best players finish the season around 10.
