Is Backes a fair trade for him?
Bergfors could get in the low 70s. Won't happen this year and I wouldn't trade Backes for him with your PIM rules.

Hey Dobber your stuff is great, quick question for you,

Where do you think Alexander Frolov will end up for next season? I really hope that he signs in the NHL, but I have a bad feeling he will go to Russia.

I have a trade in my keeper league that will only get done if Frolov signs with an NHL team. It is David Backes for Alex Frolov.

I am the one shipping Frolov out.

What are your thoughts on Frolov's future, and this trade? Thanks a lot!

    Tarasenko
    Burmistrov
    Connolly
    Granlund
    Kabanov
    Kuznetsov
    Bennett
Johansen.. Why are fantasy gms passing on this guy so much compared to the other top 10 picks.

and Straka... You seemed to rank him high now. Just want to know what I'm missing on him.
Nied - up, great opportunity in NYI
Fowl - up, I like his fit in ANA, could make team right away
Skin - down, wait 3 yrs for him in CAR
    Taras - flat
Burmis - up a bit, but still needs to get bigger
    conno - flat
granl - down. I don't like any player going here, considering only two in history are truly stars (and one is a BAB)
Kaban - up up up - love this fit like no other
kuznet - up a bit. have to wait awhile, but have to love all russian wingers in WAS
Bennet - up, but have to wait a few years. gotta love PIT wingers
Johan - flat - just have to wait on him
Straka - high upside, that's all.

    Default Keeper League Analysis

    Details in Signature...

Will Turco sign and undiputed starter? on a playoff team? (Was hoping for Philly or SJS) but optimism is dwindling. Any positive spin for me?

Defence Keepers? Where do you rate Gonchar, Markov, and Lidstrom in a keeper league? Tempted to keep all three and throw Turco, Ribeiro, Boyes, Sharp, and Briere all back into the sea. Crazy? Figure they all have baggage or limits. If Gonchar plays 3, Lid plays 2, and Markov more I am tempted.

What are thoughts on Hemsky? With incoming talent, upside looks more enticing than with Horcoff finally. Plus minus will hurt, but long-term keeper value looking much better imo. Sharp simply looks like a guy in line to be a 2nd PP unity and 2nd line guy for most of the next couple of seasons (not a keeper I want to build around). I love Ribeiro but hope to "steal" him back on draft day.

Agree with keepers or glaring disagreement?

Luongo, Kiprusoff, Gonchar, Markov, Lidstrom, D. Sedin, Hemsky, B. Richards.

If Turco lucks into a starting role on good team, then Lid or Richards might get dumped.
    12-team keeper league. 18 player roster with 8 keepers. Dress 2G, 4D, 2C, 2LW, 2RW, 1 UTIL.
G - Roberto Luongo, Miikka Kiprusoff, Marty Turco, J.S. Giguere D - Sergei Gonchar, Andrei Markov, Nicklas Lidstrom
    LW - Daniel Sedin
RW - Ales Hemsky, Brad Boyes, Patrick Sharp/Daniel Briere (the multi-position may continue to add value in Yahoo)
    C Brad Richards, Mike Ribeiro
Prospects (remain prospects until they have played 25 NHL games) - Cory Schneider, Thomas Greiss, Corey Crawford

So after KShat how do the other Colorado defensive prospects stack up? What is their upside? What about Elliot in particular?

    One more Dobber...

Just read how high Babcock is on Brenden Smith, and that he sees him as an elite offensive D, who he expects to replace Lidstrom AND that he will be given every opportunity to make the team this fall. Have a look:

should I drop Goncharov for him? I need the player with the best chance of sticking this season, as I hope to contend!

    1. If you take out Crosby, Kovalchuk, Malkin, Stamkos, Green, AO, Nash, Heatley, Getzlaf, D. Sedin along with no goalies who do you think would be the next 11 best players (in order) considering these stats: G, A, PPP, PIM, GWG, SOG.

    2. Whats your take on Tampa this year? Do you think the new leadership will be a catalyst for that team?

    3. Whats your take on Minnesota? Playoff team or dud?

Thanks Dobber for another great thread. Cannot wait for the guide to come out!!

I think he'll get 35 this year, a nice rebound. I don't know about the contract, I haven't looked at his situation from that standpoint very thoroughly, but if it's for several years then I'm sure it would be a surprising cap hit of over $2.5. They'll pay him on his potential and not on his last season.

Kesler - yeah, he should hover around that number more often than not year after year.

Would you mind doing a best guess points prediction for these 'over 30's' that no one put trade value into in my league.

Rank them and guess their points?

Scoring in our league - Points with SHG, shootout Goals

    Doan
    Prospal
    B.Richards
    Tanguay
    Iginla
    Briere

extra question if you have time: Thoughts on Demers this year?
    I appreciate it!
Doan - I think all PHO players will bump 10%, so bump him the same
Prospal - a slip to 45 or so
    Richards - low 80s
Tanguay - high 50's, as Sutter has faith that he, Olli and Iggy will click
    Iginla - high 70s
Briere - 70+, as Philly will be making more room for him

Demers - more points than Vlasic in fewer games last year, with Blake gone how can the Sharks not make Demers a co-QB with Boyle? I like him for a full season and 35 points with upside for 10 more.
