He's going to be great once he's ready... Probably 2-3 years away though. Most likely see him in '12-'13

I heard he was hurt last year so that probably put him back a year but in saying that I honestly believe he will be given a very long look in training camp. I was at an Oilers/Isle preseason game last year and he was unbelievable. By far the best player on the ice, made me say "Tavares who??"

Yea he's pretty damn good. Was only drafted last year though and probably needed 1-2 years to be NHL ready then the shoulder injury set him back a year so 2-3 years from 2009, so either '11-'12 or '12-'13

dyzfunctioned he almost made the team last year... WHy would u say 2-3 years away... He will be on the team this year by the end of the season I also think harmonic will be to.... Guy is going to learn form streit how to run a pp and be amaazing offensively... Also just cuz he was drafted last year doesnt mean he wont play in the nhl look at all the guys drafted last year that play and year before means nopthing now a days

I think it's more a matter of NYI wanting to take their time with him. There's not relaly any need to rush him and with the shoulder injury I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him another full year in the minors.

He's available in my league and he's on my list for our 2010 draft but I have some questions: Is he really the future pp quarterback for the Islanders?
I know that he have some offense but do you really think he is a #1 pp defenseman?

Yes and Yes, once Streit is retired anyway.
