Nash + Legace for Brodeur

Roto-cats: G,A,+/-,PIM,PPP,SHP,GWG,Wins,Save %, SHO


I have Nash and am considering offering him + Legace for Brodeur.

My team:
C - Crosby, B.Richards
LW - Ovechkin, Nash, Carcillo, Erat(lw/rw)
RW - St. Louis, Sharp, Gionta
D - Rafalski, Mccabe, Souray (IR)
G - Osgood, Legace, Lehtonen

I am in a dog fight for 1st place and need help in 2 of the 3 goalie categories - I am in last place in save % and SHO but I am 1st in wins.

I have tried dealing St. Louis or Erat + Osgood for Brodeur and both offers were rejected.

I am considering upping the ante to Nash since I\'m a bit stacked at LW - a little worried about losing the goals from Nash since I have a slim lead in goals, but if I start improving my save % and getting some SHO, it will be worth the trade off.

I forgot to mention that his backup goalie is Nabokov and his LW are Stillman and Shanny and he\'s 6th out of 9 in goals. So the upgrade in LW offsets the downgrade in net?

Two questions,
1) Is the tradeoff worth it?
2) Is Nash + Legace for Brodeur enough?

If you can pull this trade off I say do it.
I do not see this trade happening unless the other guy has depth in G and is looking for goals.
I think you may have to give up more to get Brodeur.
I would also look into another goalie aside from Brodeur who\'s value is sky-high with 8 staright wins and 2 shutouts in that span. If you really want him wait for him to lose a game or else you will pay through the roof.

in shallow leagues whoever gets the best player wins the trade. that way the waiver wire offsets your losses.

He is thinking of something more in the line of Brodeur for Ovechkin.

That would leave me with: Nash, Carcillo, Erat as my LW and I\'d prolly drop 1 of: Lehtonen, Legace or Osgood.

I\'m wary of letting go of Ovechking but I think I need the upgrade in goaltending in a bad way.

The Lundqvist, Luongo and Turco owners aren\'t selling and I haven\'t gotten much response from the Backstrom/Biron owner. The Kipper owner is kinda dormant so not much luck there either.

Ovechkin for Brodeur

or

Nash for Nabokov?

They both give goals and that\'s the one category where my lead is only small (only 2 goals) and they both could get GWG\'s.

St. Louis is tradable since he doesn\'t seem to be able to score this year and I can lose Assists since my lead is somewhat comfortable(over 20 assists). But something tells me that he wouldn\'t go for St. Louis for Nabokov.
