I was just offered Josh Hennessy in a points only pool. There is a specific roster spot for rookie scoring and I am in need of these so I can make the money in our pool next season. Hennessy put up good numbers last year (68 points in 78 games) but will he play in Ottawa next season? The asking price is a second round entry in 2011 which looks to be a weak draft (my 2nd round entry would likely be the 26th-30th overall).
Hennessy is either career AHL'er or at best 3rd liner in NHL. Won't be with Ottawa next year and has zero fantasy value. Don't bother wasting your time in considering this trade.
Hard to argue that Hennessy will be a stud, but he did put up some good numbers last season and if you are desperate for a Rookie Forward he might be worth taking a flyer on. I would look elsewhere first but depending on how many picks you guys get he might be worth trading a later pick.
