He does have a great name.

I'd be shocked if he filled in for Talbot to start the year. He would have to set the world on fire in camp, and even then its a long shot. Caputi needs a lot, ALOT, of work on his skating and strength. For that matter, Tangradi is a long shot too and Shero has basically said that he won't rush either of these guys. There's no need. talbot will miss the first 4-8 weeks...so you pop in Kennedy or Cooke...problem solved. If they hit more injuries later you could see a Tangradi or Caputi after Chirstmas...but even then you would see a guy like Nick Johnson get a look first.

You're going to have to wait a year to see anything resembling fantasy relevence out of these 2.

I happened across this thread and I thought with the recent Caputi trade this was an interesting look back at everyone's comments.

Any minds changed over the season?

I'm just glad I own them both as prospects and now that Caputi has been traded it's a plus. I still have Tangradi with Pittsburgh and all the increased upside that should bring, plus I now one more "NHL ready" prospect I can activate and that's huge in my league because they come with a bonus to salary. Caputi's ceiling drops as a result but Toronto is so horrible that at least I don't have to worry about Caputi not getting enough ice time next year.

Caputi, especially since he will get a ton of ice in Toronto next season.
