Coyotes fire Barnett, Fletcher

about damn time. Barnett was a horrible GM and traded like he was playing NHL 2007. This move has Gretzky\'s fingerprints all over it.. some rumors floating that Pat Quinn may be coming in to Phoenix.

interesting...about Quinn...being in Toronto, I don\'t know if I like that move. Quinn I think is a dinosaur for the old NHL.

I agree with you. I have the utmost respect for Mr. Quinn and what he has done for the game. There just comes a time. No disrespect Mr. Quinn. But the time has come.

I would rather see Tambellini given the opportunity in Phoenix.

I\'m sure I\'m treading on sacred ground here but I find it hard to believe that Barnett made all those bad decisions on his own. He brought the guys in that Gretzky wanted and is now doing him a bigger favor by taking the fall.

Gretz has a lot to learn..he tends to go with his heart instead of good ole cold logic so he tends to pick up stray dogs!

Things like playin Cujo alot when Tellqvist/Leneveu needed the games to develop. Do they even have a goaltending coach (want to bet its G. Fuhr)? Loading up on the D talent and ignoring the fwd mess. They are sooo thin at fwd.. lucky for them that they have a stacked D so they can flip a few for some fwd help. If Tamby takes over GM that could be a helluva team in 2-3 yrs! They have some decent talent drafted that should really help in 2-4 yrs also.
I think they are lookin to draft Turris this yr from what I have heard.

Interesting thought Pete. I hope Mr. Campbell retains his current position for awhile longer. He is slowly bringing some stability to the league with the implementation of the rule changes. I fear that we would take a step back if he were to move on. I am sure that he would be a good pick for the Coyotes, but hope he doesn\'t get it.

Phoenix will be a much improved team in 2 years. Mueller, Hanzal, and whoever they pick this year. I still like Cherepanov best but hear they are high on Turris. They have some good young defencemen but have to make some decisions on their goaltending. I could see them making some upgrade via free agency or trade.

Tambellini would be Vancouver\'s loss and Phoenix\' gain.
