Up or down for Steve Mason?

Where do you think Mason is going to go from here?

Will he become the stud goalie many imagined or will he be a borderline starter (like this year) for his career?

I don't like giving up on young players, BUT there are still a few teams in my keeper that are desperate for goalies that I could still get a pretty good value from. I havent been starting him unless I needed a spot start on weeks I've been losing in the goalie cats, but I just don't trust him enough otherwise.

I figure he won't be as good as he was last year, but he won't be as bad as he was much of this year. It takes a lot of time for young goalies to find that consistency. We saw that with Fleury. We're seeing that with Price. Even the most highly touted find it hard to be stellar night in night out.

If I could acquire Mason in a keeper I would be happy, even if he continues to struggle this year.

Just wanted to see what the thoughts were, I was never going to let him go for something stupid, but I did want to dangle him out there and see what offers would come up as a few managers were interested and really needed the goaltending. However the best offer (out of 3) was Mason for Leclaire and Hagman, so obviously I'll be keeping him to myself lol

I think your bang on that he can't get any worse but I think his 10 shutouts was way over his/team heads. See what you can get for him. I put him out there in my pool and moved Steve Mason Chris Mason Entrom and got Thomas Rask and Robidas. IT may come back to haut me later but so far so good with my BOston Tandum. If a team is in last place and rebuliding they might bite on him. Are you rebuilding or going for the win?
